My partner & I had a brief stop in Salt Lake City to visit a friend. He mentioned the garden & encouraged me to visit the site. As we were in the midst of a very long road trip, I was noncommittal to the notion of visiting a small community garden. But, as we entered the space I was moved by a wave of emotion as we gazed at the wonder of Mr. Childs creativity & effort.
The excerpt from Mr. Childs journal regarding the unfinished rock moved me to tears.
The garden is an enclave not to be missed. I am deeply grateful to Mr. Childs, his family, & the Friends of Gilgal Garden for the opportunity to experience this special place.
